Finding Peace

Busy. Crazy. Good. Blessed. Beautiful. That's life in a nutshell.

Between being heavily involved in multiple ministries at church, trying to launch a photography business, desperately striving to complete school assignment deadlines, being in driver's ed, practicing music, writing a novel and spending time with my friends and family, I've found that life can get insane. Late nights and early(ish) mornings are pretty common. Exhaustion and stress kind of just a part of life at moment.

Sometimes, I get so wrapped up in my to do list, that I forget that God is there to help me- I just have to ask for it. I forget that He has a plan and a future for me. I have to be reminded of that on a daily basis. It's so refreshing to know that we can simply let go and let God take control. It's incredible to remember that He's been thinking of me and my life since the dawn of creation. The fact that He's so infatuated with me that He thinks of me day in and day out is unfathomable. The amazing truth that He wants all of me, despite my many flaws, blemishes and scars takes my breath away. He wants to take care of my trials and hardships for me. It literally leaves me speechless and breathless.

It confounds the human mind, but it's true and that's what keeps me going- knowing that He is always there for me.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,  nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39, ESV)

And, in that promise, I find overwhelming peace.
