Thirty Day Challenge- Designed by Your's Truly :)

This weekend, I got the privilege to go to a life-changing women's conference. A lot of wonderful things happened to me there. In a nut shell: I was changed and forgave some people that had seriously wounded me.

Anyway, today at the last session, the lady who was speaking asked us a few questions. They were very trying and I'm still struggling with them.

What if we changed our "to do" list to a "to be" list?

She then continued to challenge us to ask ourselves "What do I want to be?" She had us write down 5 things we wanted to be. Here's my list.

My To Be List:

1. A woman after God's own heart.

2. Fulfilling the purpose He has for me (AKA being in line with His will)

3. A good role model for younger girls and someday, a Godly wife and mother

4. A reflection of Him.

5. Dependant on Jesus and Jesus alone.

(These are not in order of importance.)

The next questions she asked were these:

How badly do I want these things?

What will it take?

She also suggested to read Romans 12. Well, I only got to Romans 12:2, when I had to stop and think. It says:  "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. "

That got me thinking. How can my mind be renewed? I want to be able to test and approve His will. I want to know what He has for me.

So, I designed a 30 day challenge. It may seem hard, and it's meant to be, but I decided to post it. I'm still praying about whether or not I'm going to do it.

Ways to Transform My Mind: The 30 Day Challenge

  1. No facebook. At all.
  2. Limit all other non-school related Internet activity to 1 hour
  3. Limit all non-school related off Internet time to 30 minutes
  4. No texting
  5. Read Romans 12 two times a day
  6. Worship at least 30 minutes a day
  7. Read all of Luke by May 1st (optional... this is just something I need to do :D)
  8. Journal and blog once a day about what Jesus is showing you
  9. Exercise for 45 minutes a day, at least 3 days a week
  10. Find a prayer partner and call her every day (if possible) to pray
This seems like a lot, I know, but I feel like God wanted me to post this. Anyone willing to take the challenge with me?
