Bigger Than the Storm

Hard times come. It's a guarantee. At some point in our life, you're going to run into something that you never thought you would encounter. It can be an extremely hard and flat out scary time. It can feel like you're miles away from God. But be assured, He is right there. He will never leave you or forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6. 31:8) He will always be near. In the hard times, it may be hard to see where He's at. You can be sure that He will always be near.

Lately, I've been in the midst of a huge Storm in my life. I'm at a crossroads and there are two was I can go. My parents say to go one way, but I feel God is urging me the other. Either way, my choices could have bad consequences. I'm confused.

However, I know that I have a hope. I have Love. I have an ever present God. Even through my tears, I can feel Him comfort me.

Did you know that He uses other things, such as friends, family, even nature, to reach us? I have this one friend... no... 2 friends... who have stuck with me through this. (This isn't including the many supportive leaders that God's given me) I haven't told many people about what's been going on (though I think everyone at my church knows by now...) but I've told a few people. Some of them have condemned me, saying "how is that even a question?!" but a few have stayed with me and talked and prayed and loved me through all the tears I've shed in front of them. God has been using them to help me through this trial.

The point of this whole post is that God has purpose for everything. Yes, it's hard to see. It's hard to find peace in these times, but I can rest knowing that my God is bigger than any storm.
